AstroFeed is a social platform designed specifically for astrophotographers and space enthusiasts. It allows users to share their work with a community of like-minded individuals, and provides a royalty program that ensures fair compensation for their efforts. The platform is built on the AstroChain dApp (decentralised application), making it easy for users to mint their content onto the blockchain and ensure the protection of their rights.
AstroChain uses InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) to store and showcase astrophotographers' content on the AstroFeed dApp. IPFS is a decentralized file storage system that enables the distribution of large files across a peer-to-peer network. This means that the content is stored in a decentralised manner, making it more secure and resistant to censorship or tampering. The use of IPFS also allows for faster and more efficient distribution of the astrophotographers' content, ensuring that it is easily accessible to the community on the AstroFeed platform. By using IPFS, AstroChain is able to provide a secure and reliable platform for showcasing the work of astrophotographers and protecting their digital assets.
AstroChain's ATC NFTs are a collection of 500 NFTs on the Polygon network. They are broken down into 10 categories as a guide for the type of content that can be uploaded to the AstroFeed.
When a user uploads, mints and sells their NFT on the Spaceibles marketplace, royalty payments are distributed:
1.5% of the final sale price goes to AstroChain to re-invest and innovate in the platform.
2.5% of the sale value is distributed across the 50 wallets holding ATC NFTs from the same category as the content.
The remaining sale value goes to the content creator, who will continue to receive the 1-4% royalty from all subsequent sales of their work including the ATC holders. This system creates a sustainable model for the growth of the AstroFeed platform while providing a fair return to those who contribute to its success.
By using ATC NFTs and AstroFeed, astrophotographers can protect their content from potential theft or unauthorised use. With the AstroFeed, astrophotographers can engage with a community of fellow content creators, receive fair compensation for their work, and be part of a platform that is dedicated to supporting their efforts. The alignment of the ATC NFTs and AstroFeed's royalty program offers a percentage of each sale made on the Spaceibles marketplace, allowing content creators to receive ongoing financial benefits from their work.
In addition to providing protection for astrophotographers and compensation through royalty programs, ATC NFTs also serve as a key to unlock various benefits in the AstroChain ecosystem.
These NFTs not only serve as a representation of the content created and uploaded to the AstroFeed, but also hold value as a symbol of investment in the growth and development of the AstroChain community.
In conclusion, using the ATC NFTs and the AstroFeed platform allows astrophotographers to protect their work, engage with a community of like-minded individuals, receive fair compensation for their efforts, and access a range of benefits that support their passion for capturing the beauty of the cosmos.
